June 01, 2001 - At Sega's "Unleashed" party, held at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, we got a chance to ask the heads of Sonic Team and Amusement Vision a few quick questions. Yuji Naka, famous for Sonic and more recently Samba de Amigo, and Toshihiro Nagoshi were somewhat reserved, but had a few interesting comments. Find out what they had to say below.

Yuji Naka of Sonic Team

IGNcube: We've heard you're very excited about the GameCube. Will Sonic ever make it to the [GameCube]?
Yuji Naka: I think it's up to Sonic.

IGNcube: You said GameCube is very easy to program for and it only took one month to port Phantasy Star Online ver. 2. Will we see more improvements to the game, such as visuals?
Naka-san: I think we can make it better.

IGNcube: What would you say your favorite part of developing for GameCube is?
Naka-san: I think its stability as a system. It's very stable. Anything that's theoretically possible, we can execute it and it works.

IGNcube: When will Nintendo and Sega announce an official online strategy for Phantasy Star Online ver. 2?
Naka-san: Maybe during Space World, on August 24th. That's the earliest you might get an inkling of what's going on.

IGNcube: There's a big rumor that you and Miyamoto-san are working together on a project. Is it true?
Naka-san: No I am not working with him. He's an incredible person and someone I look up to.
